Willie diagrams for the class the proper height above deck for the lower black mast band. Many of us had them incorrectly positioned and we spent part of the afternoon peeling off the old bands and putting new ones in their proper place. Lower black band should be 18″ above the deck line. A crude measurement check implied that the upper mast band on my mast was in the correct position but dropping the mast is the only way to truly check.
