Scow Racing on the Potomac (and elsewhere)

REhoboth Bay Inland20-Lightning REgatta: Aug. 13-14

A fun Friday-Saturday regatta will be held mid-August on Rehoboth Bay for Inland20 scows and Lightnings. A tribute dinner to longtime Lightning sailor Dave Racine will be held Friday evening at the club house.

We hope everyone who has stories about Dave will bring them. This longtime sailor has been championing the Lightning class for a lifetime and we want to recognize his efforts at this combined event.

For anyone who has not sailed Rehoboth Bay, this large inland bay is just a few hundred feet from the ocean and offers some of the most reliable winds to be found in late summer.

Click here for the Notice of Race. Registration will open here July 20. This event is co-hosted by the Rehoboth Bay Sailing Association and the inland20 scow fleet of the Potomac River.
